Brief description
This research group consists of faculty with an extensive research background in the canonical, concordat and State Ecclesiastic Law fields. Its aim is to further studies in the above-mentioned legal fields, addressing questions such as the basis, history and problems in current canonical, concordat and state-ecclesiastic regulations while also opening up new fields of research regarding the new problems and challenges in theses areas arising from today’s social, political and ecclesiastic situation.
In addition to leading and developing projects in the above lines of research, several professors participate or have participated in research projects led by other academic and scientific institutions, including the Martín de Azpilcueta Institute (Universidad de Navarra), Pontificia Universidad de Salamanca and the Ignatian Spirituality Group (GEI) for the Society of Jesus’ Southern Europe Assistancy (EMR).
