New Call Open for ACM International Volunteering

10 November, 2016

Voluntariado internacional

Following the success of last year’s edition, Aristos Campus Mundus (ACM) has opened a new call for ACM international summer volunteering for its university community. This call helps to further increase the consortium’s commitment to the sustainable development of Southern countries and the entire world, thus contributing to the awareness of university communities towards the problems of inequality, injustice and inequality.

The 2016-2017 call includes projects lasting two months in Peru, Kenya and Tanzania, one month and a half in Mexico, and one month in Chile and Brazil. In addition, a call for a one-month project in Ecuador (it will be published on ACM website) will soon be confirmed.  All those interested in taking part in the projects can submit their applications by Friday, 20 January.

Each of the projects carried out has its own characteristics and is aimed at a specific student profile. You can read more detailed information about each project:

  • Ecuador (to be confirmed)

The general terms for all the projects and further details on how to submit applications, selection criteria, the commitments involved in the projects and other relevant information can be found in the “General information” document.

To submit your application, you must fill in the “Folder 2017“, and send it by email along with the required supporting documents (CV, motivation letter, reference letter) to the university you belong to:

•             Deusto Bilbao: Aitor Arbaiza, aitor.arbaiza@deusto.es

•             Deusto San Sebastián: Idoia Irigay, idoia.irigaray@deusto.es

•             Comillas: Carlos Prieto, cprieto@comillas.edu

•             Ramon Llull: Maite Sala, msala@rectorat.url.edu

Although the call for the project in Ecuador is still pending, you can state your interest in this project in your application form, but not as a single option.

In addition, the MAGIS – University and Young Adult Ignatian Pastoral, through its “Experiencias Sur en Compañía” international volunteering proposal, offers the possibility of living a volunteering experience with a focus on Faith, Justice, Community, Service, Simplicity, Discernment and Accompaniment.  The project in Tanzania featured in this call is part of this programme, which will also include projects in Colombia, Peru, Nicaragua, Kenya, Chad and Cameroon.  For further information about last year’s edition, you can visit the Experiencias Sur en Compañía on Facebook.
