Brief description
The objective of this group is to research Theology in terms of faith doctrine and its dogmatic link, historical development and current meaning, especially bearing in mind its organic unity as a system of thought.
The group’s objectives are thus aligned with rethinking the fundamental content of Christian Dogma from a contemporary perspective (systematic theological reconsideration), aware of the pluralist context in which we live (Phenomenology and the History of Religions, the varied geographic and cultural areas in which it is carried out (contextual Theology and secularisation) and from the most important 20th century ecclesiastic experience which continues to influence theological development (the Second Vatican Council) in its ecumenical and evangelical dimension (ecumenical Theology and evangelisation).
